Overall Impression

Disco Danny is a fun new addition to the suite of NetEnt slots. It’s a simple enough game and doesn’t leave you scratching your head wondering what’s going on when you first play it, unlike some slots. The Golden Disco ball spinning in randomly in the base game is a nice touch to help keeps things somewhat interesting in what could otherwise have been a dull base game. We would have liked to have seen a couple of extra base game modifiers perhaps. The free spins bonus has the potential to pay big and should trigger every 250 spins on average. Just remember that it is a highly volatile slot so it could rip your bank balance quickly without much to show in return. Overall, a fun game and worth a closer look, even if it’s just for a few free spins on demo mode.

Free Spins and Bonus Features

There are 2 main bonus features available on the Disco Danny slot. First up is the Golden Disco Ball. This is a symbol which can land at any time during the base game and it will award players with a random cash prize of anything from10x to 20x your stake. Not massive but a nice little feature to help keep the base game play exciting as you could be in for some periods of dead spins due to high volatility of Disco Danny. This symbol also acts as a Scatter symbol.

The free spins feature is triggered by landing either 3 Silver Disco Balls, which are the Scatter symbols, or by landing 2 Silver Disco Balls and one Gold Disco balls. These can land anywhere on the reels and will still trigger the bonus round. The game have 5 levels of multiplier going from 1x, 2x, 3x, 5x and 10x.

Once you have secured the free spins round you will see the background change from a purple/pink colour to red and you’ll see that only Golden Disco balls land. Each ball will have a multiplier of your stake on it, going from 1x to 50x of your stake. You get 3 spins and each time a new Golden Disco ball lands it will be locked in place and reset the free spins back to 3. If you fail to land any new balls during the 3 spins the feature will end.

However, if you fill the screen with disco balls then you’ll get the total of the multiplier will go up to the next level, this can happen up to 5 times to reach the 10x multiplier. Here you could get 9 x 50x balls on a 10x multiplier for a 4500x!

Graphics and Sound

If you like the look and sound of 70’s disco the you will probably love the Disco Danny slot. It is set on a psychedelic type background and has the funky disco music playing in the background which may well see you keeping the music turned on and perhaps even up.

The symbols include “Disco Danny” who looks super funky with his 70’s dancing gear on looking a bit like John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever. He’s the top symbols and will pay 100x for a line and 500x for a full screen. You also have the obligatory Roller Skates symbol, 7’s, BAR symbols and your two Scatters, the Gold and Silver Disco balls. These don’t act as Wilds unfortunately and there are no Wild symbols in Disco Danny.
